Arrest made in connection with Stowmarket sexual assault case
Police continue to investigate the November assault with multiple arrests made
An investigation into a sexual assault in Stowmarket, Suffolk, has led to the arrest of another suspect.
The attack took place last year on 19th November between 5.45am and 6am on a path near Iliffe Way.
A woman in her 30s was out jogging when she was accosted by a man who proceeded to pull her to the ground and sexually assault her.
Since the incident, officers have been following several lines of inquiry, resulting in multiple arrests.
Recently, a 36-year-old man from Norwich was apprehended on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted rape.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and later released on bail pending further enquiries until 8th June.
Three other individuals remain under investigation regarding their connection to the case.
A 26-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted rape and is out on bail until 25th June.
A 35-year-old man arrested on similar charges has been bailed until 2nd June.
Additionally, a 50-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released under investigation.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers as she aids detectives with ongoing investigations.
