Two people taken to hospital following multivehicle crash on A14
Suffolk Police say the road was closed for several hours being reopened
Two people have been taken to hospital following a serious collision on the A14 in Suffolk.
Officers from Suffolk Police were alerted to an incident taking place on the road heading westbound near Creeting at 7:50am on Monday morning (July 28th).
When responders arrived, they found that two lorries had collided with each other, resulting in casualties.
A major emergency response was prompted following the incident, with the ambulance service and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service being called to the scene.
The road was sealed off to traffic in both directions a short time later, but the eastbound carriage was reopened at 9:35am.
In an effort to move traffic off the road, a sliproad leading to the A1120 was reopened minutes later, with the eventual road being fully reopened later in the morning.
Police confirmed that two people required medical attention and have since been taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.
