Hundreds of demonstrators held a 'funeral' this morning - for 'beautiful Suffolk' at Snape Maltings.

The government gave the plant an extra five billion pounds to get over the line.

In a post on social media demonstrators said: 'UNITED we say NO! Wrong plans. Wrong Places. Wrong time.'

Adding: 'This disjointed and overwhelming infrastructure onslaught is too much for this small patch of coast and countryside.'

Bosses have set up a charity to boost biodiversity while the plant's being built.
