Michelin star chef Gordon Ramsay is the subject of a new Netflix documentary, and joined Hits Radio Breakfast, with Fleur East, Will Best and James Barr to talk about the new series, admitting his hasn't actually watched the show!
The show, which is a six-part series, follows Gordon over a period of six months, as he prepares to open five culinary experiences in London’s 22 Bishopsgate, the city's second tallest building.
Being Gordon Ramsay
With exclusive access to the Ramsay family, the show sees Gordon balancing his various work commitments and life as a husband to his wife, Tana, and father to their six children.
While chatting to Hits Radio, when he was asked about the new show, and what fans can expect to see, he admitted that he hasn't watched it!
"I'll be honest, I haven't seen it because I never want to be that sort of little delicate, dainty soul that wants to obsess on how he looks, how he comes across," he explained.
"And so this has been the most challenging 12 months of our entire lives.
"Huge commitments in terms of Bishopsgate and attempting a project of that magnitude. I trust, and sometimes that's my problem. I trust too easy, I think."
Gordon Ramsay's family
As well as following the chef's work on his new culinary experiences, the show also follows Gordon's family. Famed for not shying away from using some strong language, Fleur asked if he tones it down for his kids.
"I'm a dad, right? I'm a father, I'm a parent, and Tan and I do, you know, an amazing job," he explained.
"I was at football last weekend with Oscar, and I said: ‘Oscar, pass the freaking ball!’ And then 20 kids turned around and looked at me because there are so many Oscars today, and it's like, and I couldn't help myself by sort of even helping him to play football.
"But I just, I suppose I keep it real, there's some naughty words that sort of, come out.
"However, I just think kids need to be taught properly and not masked in a way that it's all a little bit synthetic because your parents are sort of lucky and you get a privileged life. I don't know if that's going to shape them well. So yeah, there are some naughty words that come out."
