Appeal after man attacked with hammer in Winsford
Officers are searching for those involved
Officers are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a hammer in Winsford.
Police were called to reports of an assault on Cedar Grove just before 7.30pm on Sunday 22nd February.
Officers found there had been an altercation and a 34-year-old man had been hit with a hammer.
He didn't suffer any serious injuries but his phone was smashed by the hammer.
The suspect fled on foot towards Lodge Lane.
A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "The suspect is described as a white man, around 5’ 10” tall, of slim build with short black hair. He was wearing a full light grey Montirex tracksuit with a baseball cap.
"An unknown woman was also present at the time of the incident, she was described as around 5’ 10” tall, with black hair. She was wearing a black coat and light coloured trousers.
"As part of our enquiries, we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault, or anyone with any information which may aid our investigation."
Officers are also keen to hear from the occupants of a white SUV style vehicle which was spotted in the area.
