Two men charged with drug offences after Newcastle-under-Lyme car search
Cocaine and over £5,000 seized during police operation
Two men from Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent have been charged in connection with supplying cocaine and handling criminal assets.
Mohammed Aftab, 29, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Usama Ahmed, 31, from Stoke-on-Trent, have both been charged with conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug, specifically cocaine, and acquiring, using, or possessing criminal property.
In addition to these charges, Aftab faces an additional charge for possession with intent to supply cocaine.
The charges follow a police search of a vehicle in Newcastle-under-Lyme on the 11th August, which led to the discovery and seizure of cocaine and over £5,000 in cash.
Both men appeared in North Staffordshire Justice Centre on the 13th August and have been remanded in custody.
Their next scheduled court appearance will be at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on the 11th September.
