Two arrested over monkey dust offences

Two men have been arrested, on suspicion of monkey dust-related offences, after a stop-and-search in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Officers were on patrol in the Dimsdale Parade area in the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday 12 August), when they spotted a vehicle being driven suspiciously.
The vehicle then travelled to a car park, at Wolstanton Retail Park and officers carried out a search.
More than 20 snap bags of suspected class B drugs, monkey dust, were recovered, along with a set of scales.
A 23 year-old man, from Clwyd in North Wales, and a 38 year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, were each arrested, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
They have been released under investigation.
