Titanic Brewery plans to open a new bar in Newcastle town centre
They're hoping to revitalise a prominent old high street building
A planning application has been submitted to transform a prominent former banking hall into a new bar in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Titanic Brewery plans to bring fresh investment to the town centre by converting the former Royal Bank of Scotland building on High Street into a vibrant social space.
Dave Bott, Director of Titanic Brewery, expressed excitement about the project, saying, "We are delighted to have submitted this planning application and to take the next step towards bringing this fantastic building back into use."
He highlighted the character of the building and its potential to enhance the local economy and evening scene.
The proposed venue will occupy around 125 square feet, offering Titanic beers and limited snacks, with potential opening hours from 11am until midnight, seven days a week.
If approved, the venue is expected to create new employment opportunities and contribute positively to the town's growth.
Local residents can view the planning application via Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s website and provide feedback during the consultation process.
Titanic Brewery, established in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, operates several pubs and café bars across the region, including The Greyhound on George Street in Newcastle.
Once plans are finalised, the brewery will announce further details about the venue's opening.
