Crewe is gearing up for the opening of The Dome Youth Zone, a multi-million-pound facility aimed at enriching the lives of young people.

Located on Oak Street, The Dome promises to bring an array of activities and support for those aged eight to 19, or up to 25 for individuals with additional needs.

Scheduled to open in winter 2026, the Youth Zone will be the 21st addition to OnSide's national network, providing unprecedented youth work across the UK.

The centre will feature state-of-the-art amenities such as a climbing wall, music room with a recording studio, performing arts space, and extensive sports facilities, including a 3G football pitch, boxing gym, sports hall, and fitness suite.

In a bid to promote inclusivity and affordability, The Dome will serve hot meals for just £1.

Delivered in partnership with OnSide and Cheshire East Council, the facility is supported by local businesses and philanthropists committed to its vision.

The Dome Youth Zone’s CEO, Stuart Manifould, expressed enthusiasm for its development, saying, “Watching the building come along, from completing an architectural dig to finishing the steel frames, has been incredibly exciting. It feels fantastic to be able to welcome our supporters into the space that we’re building together to give the young people of Crewe a bright future.”

Councillor Laura Crane, chair of Cheshire East Council’s children and families committee, praised the partnership: “Reaching this milestone is a testament to the strong partnership behind The Dome Youth Zone. We are proud to work alongside OnSide and our local supporters to create a place where young people can thrive, learn new skills, have fun and more than anything, enjoy a real sense of belonging.”
