A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a police pursuit on the M6 in Cheshire.
Officers from Cheshire Police’s Roads and Crime Unit were alerted at around 2am on Wednesday 11 February to a vehicle that had earlier failed to stop for Greater Manchester Police.
After working with Staffordshire Police, officers spotted a white Mercedes AMG near Sandbach Services. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, it drove off at speed, leading to a pursuit.
The car was followed along the motorway, where police say it reached speeds of up to 150mph, including through roadworks. A stinger device was later used to slow the vehicle, bringing the pursuit to an end on Alsager Road near the A500.
The driver, from Telford, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has since been released on bail.
