New arrests in Stoke-on-Trent murder investigation following man's stabbing
Suspects in custody as police probe death on Ridgway Road
Further arrests have been made in the investigation into the fatal stabbing of a man on Ridgway Road in Shelton, Stoke-on-Trent.
On 13th July, a man in his 40s succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and his next of kin are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Recent developments have seen the arrest of a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent, both on suspicion of murder. The latter also faces charges related to the possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in public.
These suspects, alongside a previously arrested 25-year-old, remain in custody for questioning.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old boy from Newcastle-under-Lyme was released on bail with conditions, and a 24-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent was freed without further action.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald of the major investigations department expressed gratitude to the community for their cooperation and assured that officers are diligently pursuing those responsible.
Ongoing investigations aim to ensure justice and deliver answers for the victim's bereaved family.
