Staffordshire firefighters overwhelmed by donations following wildfire response
Hundreds of people have donated food and supplies as a thank you to all staff
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming community support received in the wake of dealing with recent wildfires.
The fire service has seen hundreds of donations pouring in from across the county.
People's appreciation extends not only to the firefighters seen actively tackling fires but also to control room operators, prevent and protect colleagues, and staff working behind the scenes.
The organisation emphasised the incredible backing from the community, with heartfelt messages accompanying the donations.
The fire service has shared photos of crews with some of the donations which include sandwiches, fresh fruit and drinks.
With so much food piling up, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service now wants to make sure nothing is wasted and are kindly asking people to pause their generosity for now.
