Stafford parents jailed after death of three-month-old baby with head and rib injuries
They were sentenced to less than four years combined
The parents of a three-month-old baby who died from serious injuries caused by them have been jailed for less than four years combined.
A post-mortem revealed the baby girl had a head injury, believed to have happened days before her death, and multiple rib fractures.
26-year-old Jack William Davies and 23-year-old Terrie Marie Wood, both from Stafford, were previously found guilty of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm.
Davies was jailed for two years, and Wood was jailed for one year and eight months.
The court heard how the ambulance service was called in February 2021 to reports of a three-month-old baby in cardiac arrest.
She died on her way to hospital.
