Search for suspects after man left with fractured skull in Stone assault
The victim's son was also reportedly assaulted
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with a fractured skull and his son was assaulted in Stone.
The reported attack happened at around 12.30am on Sunday 21 June, on Stafford Road near the bus stop close to Walton roundabout.
A man in his 40s was walking with his wife and adult son when they came across two men.
Both the man and his son were assaulted.
The man suffered a fractured skull and a bleed on the brain. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
His son suffered minor injuries.
Police say the two suspects ran off towards the underpass after the assault.
They're now appealing for the public's help in finding them.
One suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, around 5ft 9ins tall, with dark hair styled in a square-cut around his face.
The second suspect is also believed to be in his mid-20s and have blonde hair.
Officers are urging anyone with information which could their investigation to call 101, quoting incident number 25 of 21 June.
