Man arrested after reported rape in Stoke-on-Trent

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape in Stoke-on-Trent after an incident on Saturday (13th December).
Officers say they were called at around 9.45pm to Penfleet Avenue in Meir.
The female victim told officers what had happened and a search was ordered.
A 25-year-old man attempted to run away from officers but was shortly found.
The man, who has no fixed address, has now been arrested on suspicion of rape.
The woman is being supported by specialist officers.
