Pedestrian dies after collision near Abbotts Bromley

A man has died in a collision near Abbots Bromley.

Police were called to the B5013 at Blithfield Reservoir at 9.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 12th August) following reports of a collision involving a blue Fiat and a pedestrian.

Sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

The driver of the Fiat remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries

Staffordshire Police said:

"We are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those travelling along Blithfield Reservoir between 9.15pm and 9.35pm, to contact us. We are also keen to speak to those with dashcam or CCTV footage of the area at the time".
