Three charged with high-value shoplifting in Northwich
More than £1,700 worth of goods reported stolen
Three individuals have been charged following a high-value shoplifting incident at a Northwich Waitrose store.
On Monday 9th March, police attended reports of shoplifting at the Waitrose on London Road, where it was reported that over £1,700 worth of merchandise had been stolen.
Police inquiries led to the arrest of three suspects after officers stopped a Black Citroen Berlingo Van on the A556 at around 5.48pm.
Jonathan Collins, a 27-year-old from Corbiewynd, Madelene, Edinburgh, has been charged with handling stolen goods.
He has been bailed to appear at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday 10th April.
Two teenage boys from Preston, aged 16 and 15, have been charged with theft from a shop.
They appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 11th March and were bailed by the court to return on Tuesday 31st March.
