Mo Chaudry has sold his Waterworld aqua park
The North Staffordshire businessman has parted ways with Waterworld after 25-years running it
North Staffordshire businessman Mo Chaudry has sold his aqua park Waterworld at Festival Way, Stoke-on-Trent.
A statement issued to us confirms that Looping Group, known as “Looping”, has confirmed the acquisition of Waterworld Leisure Group who operate Waterworld Leisure Resort and that discussions to buy the park began over a year ago.
Looping currently run Drayton Manor and West Midlands Safari Park.
“The deal was finalised on 31st of July and although Looping Group has been pleased to welcome the park in the Looping group family, we have all been saddened by the recent tragic accident and extend our deepest thoughts and sympathy to the family of the young girl involved and stand by the Waterworld teams” commented Laurent Bruloy, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the Looping Group.
"We will continue to support the local community. I want to thank Mo for his trust and support — Waterworld has been a remarkable family success story that we are excited to develop further."
According to Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, Mo and his family all resigned as directors on the 31st July.
