Man seriously injured by dogs in Stoke-on-Trent

Two people have been arrested, on suspicion of animal control offences, after two people suffered dog bite injuries in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called shortly before 6pm yesterday (Monday 2 February), to Macdonald Crescent in Meir.

Three dogs were involved.

A man suffered serious injuries.

Another victim, a woman, also suffered a significant bite injury.

Both victims made their way to hospital independently for treatment.

Officers assisted in securing the animals, which have since been removed from the property.

A 37-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, both of Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of being the owner/person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.

They remain in police custody, while inquiries continue.

Officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and urge anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
