Man jailed for drug offences in Stoke-on-Trent
Zeeshan Hussain was sentenced to over four years in prison for his involvement in drug supply
A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been sentenced to four years and one month in prison after being involved in supplying heroin and crack cocaine.
Zeeshan Hussain, 24, of Longton, was jailed at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after previously admitting to being concerned in the supply of both drugs.
On 6th March, officers stopped a black Hyundai on Chaplin Road in Longton, where Hussain was a passenger. Upon searching him, officers discovered two mobile phones, and two additional phones were found during a vehicle search.
PC Rehanne Mellor, from the City Proactive Team, said that text messages on the mobile phones advertised the sale of class A drugs in Stoke-on-Trent.
"We worked tirelessly to gather evidence against Hussain which led to him admitting the offences in court," Mellor said.
"We will continue to target drug supply and take robust action against those responsible."
