Man found with serious injuries in Stoke-on-Trent
Police are appealing for witnesses over an incident which happened on Christmas Day
Police are investigating after a man was found with serious injuries on Christmas Day in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were flagged down on Saturday (27th December) by a man who reported the incident to them.
Police were told a local man, in his 60s, was found injured and unresponsive in the road on Chestbrook Road, Abbey Hulton, at about 3.45am on Christmas Day (Thursday 25th December).
It's believed he had left the Abbey Hulton Sports and Social Club on Abbots Road at about 10.30pm on Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December).
After being found in the road by a passer-by, the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.
An investigation has been launched to find out the circumstances around the man’s injuries. Detectives have been looking over CCTV from the area at the time and speaking to witnesses as part of initial enquiries.
