Man charged with attempted murder in Norton Canes

A man has been charged with attempted murder over a stabbing in Norton Canes.

49 year-old Terry Langley, of Walsall, has been charged with attempted murder, attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, burglary with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and burglary of a dwelling with intent to steal.

He is due to appear North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow.

It comes as a woman suffered serious injuries in a property on Hawthorn Drive, Norton Canes, on Friday.

She remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
