Man charged after car fails to stop for police in Stafford

The 22-year-old is due before magistrates today

A man has been charged after a car failed to stop for officers in Stafford and crashed into a parked van.

Eliezer Monga, 22, of Wolverhampton, has been charged with failing to stop a mechanically propelled vehicle when required by a constable, dangerous driving, possession of a class B controlled drug (cannabis) and failing to stop after a road accident.

Police said a black Cupra failed to stop for officers in Stafford on Thursday 20th August before it crashed into a parked van.

Monga is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today, Friday 21st August.

Staffordshire Police said they are continuing to work to target serious and organised crime across the county.
