Firefighters have been dealing with a significant blaze at an industrial site on Moss Lane, Northwich overnight.

The incident involves approximately five HGV trailers, one of which contains plastic material.

Crews from Northwich, Middlewich, Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Lymm, Knutsford, and Powey Lane attended the scene alongside a water bowser and a Command Unit from Northwich.

Firefighters are using four sets of breathing apparatus to tackle the fire with two main jets and two hose reel jets.

At 22:48 yesterday (20 May), the attendance included a water bowser to supply additional water to the crews.

However, by 23:10, the number of fire engines at the scene was reduced to three.
