Police appeal for witnesses following fatal collision on Wheelock Bypass
A 45-year-old man was declared dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a fatal collision near Wheelock in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Emergency services were called just after 3am, after reports of a collision on the A534 Wheelock Bypass. The collision involved a HGV vehicle and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, was declared dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained police officers.
Sergeant Russell Sime said: “We appreciate this incident happened during the early hours of the morning, but we are asking any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to get in touch with us as we establish the full circumstances."
“The same goes for anyone who may have been driving in the area around the time of the collision and captured any relevant dashcam footage."
“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who died during this incident.”
