Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a wildfire in Long Common, near Claverley.

A field caught on fire before the blaze moved to woodland. Around 40 firefighters and drones have been dealing with the incident.

Crews now say the fire is under control, but they will remain in the area to make sure it is fully extinguished.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have asked people not to take BBQ's into the countryside and to be careful of disposing of cigarettes and glass bottles.

The fire service is asking people to avoid the area.
