Fatal collision in Stoke-on-Trent leaves motorcyclist dead and two people in hospital
It happened on Belgrave Road in Stoke-on-Trent at 12:27pm this afternoon
A serious road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike has resulted in the death of one man, while a man and a woman have been taken to hospital with injuries.
West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) was called to Belgrave Road in Stoke-on-Trent at 12:27 pm this afternoon. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a Community First Responder, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were dispatched to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:
“On arrival, crews found two off-duty student paramedics attending to a man, the motorcyclist, who was in a critical condition and immediately began administering advanced life support. Sadly, despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A man, the driver of the car and a woman, the passenger, were assessed and conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital."
