Family of woman found dead in Great Haywood pay tribute
Pippa Lewitt was found by officers two weeks ago
The family of a woman who sadly died in Great Haywood have issued a heartfelt tribute to her.
46-year-old Pippa Lewitt was found by officers on Wednesday 29 January.
In a tribute to her, Pippa’s family said she had a ‘heart of gold’ and would ‘help anyone in their time of need’.
"Pippa had her challenges and struggles but following extensive abdominal surgery in the autumn had expressed that she had been given a new start and was looking forwards to rebuilding her life; tragically that was not to be.
"Pippa loved all animals, rescuing injured animals and helping them because she cared so deeply about everything around her.
"She worshipped her children who were everything to her and was loved by her wider family; we will all miss her deeply.
“We’re absolutely devastated as a family and we’d ask that our privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time.”
The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following previous police contact.
