Emmaus North Staffs has announced a new partnership with Wholesale Beds, a bedroom supplier based in Stafford, to support its ongoing Beds for Kids campaign.

Wholesale Beds became aware of the Beds for Kids initiative earlier this year through a media interview. Director Calvin Fullwood reached out to John Webbe of Emmaus North Staffs, offering sponsorship for brand new children’s bed frames.

Since the collaboration began in January, Emmaus North Staffs has already received over 300 single bed frames and bunks.

Calvin Fullwood of Wholesale Beds said:

“As a trade supplier in Staffordshire, we feel a deep responsibility to support our local community.

We take great pride in the strength and design of our bed frames, and there is no better use for our products than ensuring a child has a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

When I heard about Emmaus North Staffs Beds for Kids campaign, I could not believe how many children are without their own bed, therefore we are delighted to commit our resources to the charity for the foreseeable future to help towards ending furniture poverty in our region.”

John Webbe of Emmaus North Staffs added:

"Our mission is to help local residents overcome furniture poverty, and our Beds for Kids campaign is a cornerstone of that work.

We see first hand the incredible difference a bed makes - not just for a child’s sleep and health, but for their education and overall well-being.

Having the long-term support of a specialist like Wholesale Beds ensures we can continue to meet the demand and provide high-quality, durable frames to the families who need them most."

Emmaus North Staffs launched the Beds for Kids campaign in 2022. It aims to provide brand new beds, mattresses, and bedding to families whose children do not have a bed of their own. To date, over 1,400 brand new bed bundles have been delivered to local families.

Emmaus North Staffs operates a superstore located on the lower mall of the Potteries Centre, open to the public six days a week: Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm.
