A Cannock man's been sentenced to two years and six months in prison after admitting to drug dealing charges at Stafford Crown Court on 16th April.

Police apprehended 25 year old Devon Anderson, of no fixed address, on Walkmill Lane, Bridgetown, in August 2022, discovering four deals of crack cocaine and a phone in his possession.

A subsequent search of his residence in Cannock revealed approximately 50 additional deals of heroin and crack cocaine, along with scales.

Staffordshire Police say drug stops like this are conducted daily as part of efforts to dismantle organised crime groups involved in drug trafficking.

Officers say criminal organisations often exploit vulnerable individuals, resorting to violence and intimidation to coerce people into distributing drugs on their behalf.
