Death of man in Burton-on-Trent not being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed the death of a man in Burton-on-Trent is not being treated as suspicious.

Police believe the man died as a result of a medical episode.

Officers reviewed CCTV footage and carried out a thorough investigation into his death.

At 6.45pm on Thursday 13 August, we were called to Sainsbury’s on Union Street after a man in his 20s presented with injuries, consistent with scratches, grazes and cuts, reporting that he had been assaulted.
