Crimestoppers offers £7,500 reward for information on wanted Staffordshire man
Thomas Asmus is wanted in connection with a number of serious sexual offences
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £7,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a man wanted in connection with a number of serious sexual offences.
Thomas Asmus, from Staffordshire, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including two counts of rape and engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, which are said to have happened between March and May 2023.
He is also known as Thomas Webster and Thomas Collins, and is from the Leicestershire area, but is known to frequent Burton on Trent.
The independent charity is urging anyone who knows where Asmus may be, or who has information about his movements, to come forward and contact them anonymously.
Alan Edwards, regional manager for the West Midlands at Crimestoppers, said: "Someone within a community may know where Thomas Asmus is, but for whatever reason may feel unable to speak directly to the police."
"Our charity is completely independent of the police, and we guarantee that anyone contacting us stays completely anonymous. That means no comeback. We never ask for personal details, and we cannot trace calls or online reports."
"If you have information about where Thomas Asmus may be, please share what you know with our charity."
"Remember, your information could make a significant difference," he said.
Crimestoppers said it is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and cannot trace calls or track IP addresses.
Calls to 0800 555 111 are not recorded, and there is no caller ID or 1471 facility, meaning the caller's phone number is not revealed.
The charity said a reward will only be payable for information passed directly to Crimestoppers, and not to the police.
Anyone calling must ask for a reward code, while anyone contacting the charity anonymously online must use the 'Keep in contact' facility and request a reward code on their initial contact.
