Charges follow disturbance in West Street area

A Crewe resident is facing serious charges after being involved in a public disorder incident in the town.

Darren Holdcroft, aged 31, was apprehended by police around 8.25pm on Monday, 22nd June.

The Gresty Road local now faces charges of assaulting a police officer during their duty, alongside accusations of being drunk and disorderly, and using threatening language or behaviour to incite fear.

Following his arrest, Holdcroft has been granted unconditional bail and is due to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on 27th August.

The charges are connected to an incident that unfolded in the West Street area, raising concerns among local authorities about public safety.
