Two teenagers have been seriously injured after a lorry collided with a group of cyclists in Crewe.

Police were called to Weston Road, near the Crewe Hall Hotel, at around 8pm last night (Sunday 20th September).

Officers arriving at the scene found the crash involved a green Isuzu tipper truck and three 16-year-old cyclists.

Two of the teenagers were taken to hospital with serious injuries, although these are not believed to be life-changing, according to police.

The driver of the truck was not hurt, and no arrests have been made.

Cheshire Police said enquiries into the crash are ongoing.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the cyclists in the Weston Road or Weston Village area beforehand, to come forward.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is being asked to contact the force.
