Arrest following reports of suspicious man with gun in Stoke-on-Trent

An arrest has been made following reports of a man acting suspiciously with a possible handgun in Stoke-on-Trent.
Armed police were called out to Carron Street in Fenton at 3:20pm today (5th February).
Firearms officers recovered an air pistol, a knife, and a hatchet.
A 26-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was detained at the scene and is now in custody as inquiries continue.
People in the area should expect an increased police presence as officers attempt to reassure the local community.
