A woman from Stoke-on-Trent has been arrested on suspicion of fraud after a business reported over £300,000 went missing from their account.

Officers say they received reports from a company in October 2025 that £301,000 had gone missing from a business account over the span of two years.

A 37-year-old woman has now been arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.

She has been bailed as investigations continue.

Detective Constable Colin Hitchins, of our criminal investigation department, said: “We launched an investigation at the end of last year and thanks to the evidence which had been gathered by the victim, have since arrested a woman."
