Burslem man sentenced for cocaine conspiracy
Officers seized around £750,000 worth of the drug
A man has been jailed for a further three years after officers seized around £750,000 worth of cocaine, in Stoke-on-Trent.
Joseph Johnson, 36, from Burslem, was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in April 2023.
After an investigation by detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Proactive team, Johnson was sentenced to a further three years in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday 23 July, after he pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply a class A controlled drug – cocaine.
Officers seized more than eight kilograms of high purity cocaine during the investigation, back in October 2022. The court accepted over 41 kilograms of cocaine had been supplied.
Detective Inspector Tim Boulton said: “Johnson has now been sentenced to a total of ten years for his offending and I hope this sends a clear message – we will take action against those involved in supplying drugs in Stoke-on-Trent.
