A registered sex offender from Hanley has been jailed for a year after breaching a court order put in place to safeguard children.
Ashley Coldwell, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Coldwell was convicted of engaging in sexual communication with a child on 19 August last year.
He was handed a five-year SHPO and registered as a sex offender.
On a routine visit to Coldwell on 9 June this year, officers found that he had undeclared internet-enabled devices, which was not allowed under the conditions of his SHPO.
Officers seized the devices and arrested Coldwell.
