Appeal to identify men after attack at Stafford station
A man was found with serious injuries
A man in his 60s was seriously injured in an unprovoked attack at Stafford railway station, prompting an appeal for help to identify the attackers.
The incident occurred around 10pm on 30th August when the victim headed to the station toilets after spending the day with his family.
Inside the toilets, two men made comments towards him before launching an assault.
The victim was struck in the head by one man, with the other soon joining in, punching him repeatedly.
After leaving the toilet, the victim was attacked again, falling and losing consciousness after his head hit the floor.
Emergency services treated the man for a significant head injury, as well as bruising and swelling to his face.
The attackers made off towards the town centre, leaving the victim on the ground.
Investigators have released images believed to be crucial in identifying the men involved.
