Cheshire Police apprehend suspects linked to Staffordshire burglaries
Cheshire Police arrested four men following a high-speed pursuit near Alsager, linked to a series of burglaries in Staffordshire.
On 26th July at 12:30pm, officers attempted to stop a beige Citroen C3 based on intelligence connecting the vehicle to criminal activity. The car sped off, prompting additional units to intervene and deploy a stinger to halt it.
One suspect was apprehended inside the car at the scene, while three others fled on foot, leading to a coordinated area search involving a police helicopter and a canine unit.
All suspects were located and detained nearby, demonstrating effective teamwork from the officers involved.
Inspector Deborah Morgan, Force Incident Manager at Cheshire Police, praised the collective effort and highlighted the integral role played by the police dog in tracking the fourth suspect.
Morgan emphasized the force's dedication to tackling burglary, acknowledging its profound impact on victims' sense of security, and noted Cheshire Police's high charge rates for burglary.

All four suspects are currently in police custody as the investigation continues.
