Paedophile former priest handed another sentence for assaulting boy

An already jailed former Roman Catholic priest has been given another sentence after sexually assaulting a boy at a church in Cheadle, Staffordshire.
72-year-old Alexander Bede Walsh has been sentenced to one year in prison after being convicted of indecent assault against a child.
He is currently serving a 22 year prison sentence which started in 2012.
He was previously convicted of two sexual offences and 19 counts of indecent assault.
Archbishop Bernard Longley, from the Archdiocese of Birmingham, said: “It is extremely distressing to hear of a further victim/survivor of Bede Walsh.
"As at the time of the initial trial in 2012, I offer once again my sincere apologies and wish to express my profound regret to all those have been affected."
