Yorkshire have agreed a deal for Australia seamer Jhye Richardson for the start of the County Championship.

Richardson, 29, has been restricted to just four Test appearances due to injury problems but faced England at Melbourne during the recent Ashes series.

The highly rated paceman has a fine first-class record of 122 wickets at 21.26 each and has also played both white-ball formats for his country.

"I'm really pleased to be joining Yorkshire. The history of the club and of Headingley goes without saying so to be coming here and playing red-ball cricket for the first time is an immense privilege," he said.
