88 year old woman dies in hospital after Barnsley crash
The woman was hit by a car on Pogmoor Road
An 88 year old woman has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Barnsley over the weekend.
The crash happened at 10.44am on Sunday (March 15) when a red Renault Clio collided with the elderly pedestrian on Pogmoor Road.
The driver of the Renault remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers in their investigation.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage taken at the scene at the time, is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
