Woman charged with attempted murder of police officer in Sheffield

A 34-year-old woman has been charged with the attempted murder of Police Office in Sheffield.

It's after officers were called to an incident at Colley Road on Friday.

34-year-old Rachel Hale has been remanded into custody.

A Police spokesperson said:

"A 34-year-old woman has been charged following an incident at Colley Road in Sheffield.

"Rachel Hale, of Mapplebeck Road, has been charged with attempted murder.

"The charge relates to an incident while officers were responding to a call on Colley Road on Friday 16 May at 12.05am.

"Hale has been remanded in custody and will next appear before Sheffield Crown Court on 12 June."
