Sheffield Wednesday have signed Japanese defender Ryo Hatsuse as a free agent.

The full-back has played for several top flight Japanese clubs, including Gamba Osaka and Vissel Kobe - for whom he racked up 195 appearances.

He has also had an international career, being called up for the Japan U20s for the 2017 World Cup and making his senior debut at the East Asian Football Championship.

His move to South Yorkshire will be his first time away from his home country.
