Two arrested and drugs seized after car fails to stop in Sheffield

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after a car failed to stop for officers in Sheffield yesterday.

Police were conducting vehicle checks at a site on Ecclesall Road when they spotted a suspicious vehicle, with the driver refusing to pull over.

There was a brief chase before the car hit a van, with no injuries reported.

A large quatity of Class A drugs were found inside the car, with two suspects being detained close to the scene.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs and driving offences.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs. Both men remain in custody.
