Sheffield man who hid loaded gun in a bush jailed
The firearm was loaded with three rounds of ammunition
A man who hid a loaded gun in a bush in Sheffield has been jailed for five years.
Back in September officers saw a Land Rover travelling at speed on Staniforth Road - they followed and ended up chasing a driver on foot.
The driver fled down an alleyway in Olivers Drive.
Having seen Hussain disappear into a bush prior to catching up to him, one of the officers searched the shrubbery and found a black bag containing a firearm which was loaded with three live rounds of ammunition.
The 30-year-old was arrested and subsequently charged with possessing a firearm and possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
Hussain, of Huntsman Road, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to both charges and appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday (27th October) where he was jailed for five years.
