Two men have been jailed for sentences for a combined total of over 10 years for drugs offences in Sheffield.

Mohammed Sajid, 26, and Abidul Islam, 26, were sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on earlier this month.

They faced charges of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after officers discovered heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine in their vehicle on Crookesmoor Road in June 2024.

Three mobile phones were also found inside the car linked to a drug dealing operation.

Islam was found with a quantity of cash and more drugs after a search of his home.

He pleaded guilty to the charges in August 2024, while Sajid was found guilty after a trial in February last year.

Sajid, of Wolseley Road, received a sentence of five years and 10 months.

Islam, of Shortbrook Road, received five years and eight months.

Investigating Officer PC Katie Halliburton, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "Both Islam and Sajid were operating a highly sophisticated drugs line and thought they could get away with their crimes."

"We have no tolerance for illegal drugs, and we are fully committed to tackling the ongoing issue of drug supply within our communities.

"I am pleased with the sentences Islam and Sajid have been handed, and I encourage the public to report any concerns you may have to us.

"With your help, we can take more criminals like Islam and Sajid off our streets and ensure our community is safe for everyone."
