A South Yorkshire dairy farmer tells us 'Everything is on hold' - following recent changes in the budget around agriculture property relief.

Eddie Andrew is from Our Cow Molly - who produce milk and ice cream in Sheffield.

He's recently put 10,000 stickers on his products going out to local shops & retailers - backing the 'Stop the Family Farm Tax' campaign:

"If we have to raise capital on the farm, we would be selling land, cows, and animals.

"That seems like a crazy situation, because then the farm wouldn't be viable to produce food.

"Everything is on stop really; we don't know if we should spend money progressing on our new building, and we don't know if we should just start saving up for a massive tax bill.

"We're trying to modernise the farm - to produce milk for everybody in the future - but we just don't know what to do right now.

"There's half a million people in Sheffield, and we want to carry on producing dairy products for everybody in Sheffield, but we are the last dairy farm producing and bottling milk in the city now.

"We can't afford to lose the very last dairy farm in Sheffield; that would be a disaster."

Currently, working farms don't have to pay inheritance tax - but that will change in April this year - as farmers will be charged 20% on properties & land worth over £1,000,000.
