Thousands of people are set to hit the streets of Sheffield today for the annual Sheffield 10k run.

It starts at 9.30am, with the runners starting at Arundel Gate and heading up Ecclesall Road, passing Endcliffe Park, Bingham Park and the Botanical Gardens.

It then finishes back in the city centre.

Tristan Batley-Kyle, Operations Director at Run For All, said:

"This promises to be another fantastic day for the city.

"Whether you're taking on your first 10K, running for a charity close to your heart, representing your workplace, or simply looking for a memorable day out with family and friends, there's something for everyone.

"What makes this event so special is the incredible community spirit on display, from the runners and volunteers to the spectators lining the route. Every participant also has the opportunity to make a real difference by raising money for a range of fantastic charities, and we would encourage anyone thinking of getting involved to sign up and join us."
